Much like its fellow emirates, Ras al Khaimah views the future as a world of opportunity, most evident in the capital city of the same name (also called Ra’s al Khaymah or RAK).
Although its skyline is not yet as dramatic as Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, RAK still has plenty of skyscrapers, many housing hotels and apartments on Booking.com. Some overlook its long, sandy beach, alongside luxury resorts. Watersports activities include diving, and to the south-west is Ice Land waterpark.
Desert safaris are a great way to explore the rugged terrain behind the city, site of Al Sawan camel racetrack and Ras al Khaimah Airport. One of the world’s first spaceports is also planned to be out here.
Saqr Park on the capital’s outskirts is the largest UAE park, and the Tower Links Golf Club is another green spot by a lagoon joined to the sea via Ras al Khaimah Creek. The nearby beachfront Corniche is a popular picnic spot, with landscaped gardens and lots of boutiques and cafés.
More shops are in Manar Mall and the ‘Little India’ district of Al Nakheel. The old city has a bustling souk and the National Museum of Ras al Khaimah, housed in Al Hisn Fort. Another important sight is majestic Sheikh Zayed Mosque with its 4 graceful minarets.
I love the location. It is very close to the beautiful beach, walking distance to the numerous restaurants and shops. I loved the beach the most and several restaurants such as Turkish restaurant (5 min driving) and the Afghan restaurant (20 min driving). The highlight of the trip was our visit to the camel racing. Local people are very nice, helpful and welcoming. I will come back for another family vacation.

My rating of Ras Al Kaimah is based solely on Longbeach Campsite and not any of the surroundings. The fees charged by Longbeach Campsite for the unit I hired is ludicrous and I would strongly recommend that no-one book that unit at that price.

Do not book through Booking.com as they over charge over hotel tariff and also the hotel doesn't refund in case you shorten your trip. For example the hotel staffs here told me the tariff is actually 160-200 AED and booking .com charged me over 250. I finished the job early and checked out one night earlier but they made me pay for entire period as booking .com had already got their commission .

The Northern Emirates are a real gem, providing a completely different experience from Dubai/ Abu Dhabi. Because it is close to the mountains and the Omani border, there are new places to visit. Really worthwhile!

Raw Al khaimah is much less impressive than other emirates.
Raw Al khaimah is much less impressive than other emirates. The city is very widespread. There are few tourist sites. The major attractions are extreme high end resorts and some high adrenaline activities. Buses quite infrequent. Lots of malls.
The property location was superb, you were deep into the Ras Al Khaimah desert with nothing around apart from other desert camps. We were upgraded to a premium suite that was well decorated, clean presentation and provided all the necessities. It was extremely quiet the majority of the time, staff were exceptionally friendly and hospitable and the whole staff coriander felt carefree.
Good range of food options, entertainment in the evening was great and the added range of activities e.g. camel riding were so enjoyable.
One of the best suites we have stayed so far in Ras al KHAIMAH. The check in was seamless, thanks to Mr. Sadi. Special thanks to Diana for going all out and helping us booking a good apartment on.the ground floor. The pool and the Jacuzzi was spot on and maintained very well. The buffet breakfast was one of the highlights and we would like to thank the chef at the restaurant for arranging the breakfast for us.
Overall it was a fantastic stay when compared with Hilton resort which is right opposite the Mughal Suites..😀
Really lovely sized apartment (we took the 1 bed suite and it was ideal for a family of 4) in a perfect part of RAK - 30 seconds to the Waldorf Hotel and a 5 min drive to the Al Hamra Mall.
1 bed suites have - separate master bedroom with on suite (yes there is a door), large lounge, guest toilet & large kitchen.
If you have Privilee it becomes a 9 out of 10 as you suddenly get full access to the Waldorf facilities, kids club, pools etc.
Staff are super friendly and engaging.
I was hesitant to book considering the price was so low as always im going to big 5star brands like Radisson, hilton, marriott, rixos etc..but this hotel surpassed my expectations in every aspect
I got the all inclusive package and it was worth every penny. Amazing and delicious food variety.
Live egg counter for breakfast. Good spread for desserts.
Kids pool is really good, there are even water slides. Kids club is well equipped to keep your kids busy.
Everything there is perfect as usual.
Special thanks to Mr. Ahmad Sultan. Reception manager for his usual support and assist the customer with his needs and more.
I'm gently requesting the top management of RAK Hotel to reward Mr. Abmad Sultan.
Best place to stay in Ras Al Khaimah.
Amazing Team in the Hotel Restaurant: friendly & helpful team on the floor; and behind the curtains ( in the kitchen) - jung talented Chef Tafijul and his team, well done! Flavory, fresh, perfect balance of salt, spices & all ingredients ! We enjoyed it!
Hotel rooms and staff are nice as are the facilities.BUT this hotel is no longer all inclusive if you stay for just one night which we were not informed of when booking. The only option for dining is the main restaurant which is really of a poor standard.
Our favorite hotel in ras al khaimah. If you have a baby this is the best hotel! pool is kid friendly, they even have activities for kids at evening, staff are nice and friendly. Price is good. Will come again soon.
Great hotel. staff was very good. I always love staying at Ras Al Khaimah Hotel. Greetings to all the hotel staff. I would also like to thank Mr. Sultan for his reception and services to us. Thank you.
